Crowns, Bridges, and Implants

Crowns

A crown or “cap” is used to cover up a damaged tooth that has lost a lot of its structure. With a crown in place, patients can feel confident in their smile and bite, without having to extract their tooth.

Bridges

When a tooth has been extracted and is missing, patients either have the option of an implant or a bridge, as a replacement for the missing tooth. Leaving the space empty can cause a host of health problems in the future.

Implants

Implants are metal posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone. Replacement or artificial teeth are then mounted onto the post. Over time, the bone grows around the implant to hold it in place, giving implants more stability. Unlike a bridge, an implant does not need surrounding teeth to hold it into place.
